About the Role
We are looking for a creative and technically skilled **Motion Graphics Designer** to join our in-house creative team.
The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience creating professional motion graphics, animated advertisements, social media reels, promotional videos and digital campaign content.
You should understand visual storytelling, animation principles, typography, transitions, pacing and brand communication.
This is a full-time, work-from-office position based in Kolkata.
Key Responsibilities
Motion Graphics & Animation
- Create engaging 2D motion graphics and animations for social media, digital advertising and brand campaigns.
- Develop animated promotional videos, product advertisements, explainer videos and branded content.
- Animate typography, illustrations, logos, graphic elements and visual assets.
- Produce motion creatives for Instagram, Facebook, YouTube and other digital platforms.
- Create smooth transitions, professional visual effects and visually appealing animations.
Video Editing & Post-Production
- Edit short-form videos, social media reels, promotional films and digital advertisements.
- Work with footage, graphics, voiceovers, sound effects and background music.
- Perform basic colour correction, audio synchronisation and video finishing.
- Optimise videos for different social media formats, including 9:16, 4:5, 1:1 and 16:9.
- Deliver high-quality video content according to project requirements.
Creative Development
- Work closely with graphic designers, content creators and the marketing team.
- Understand creative briefs and translate concepts into engaging motion graphics.
- Develop storyboards, visual references and animation sequences.
- Maintain consistency with brand guidelines and campaign objectives.
- Suggest creative approaches to improve the visual quality of advertisements and social media content.
Project Management & Delivery
- Manage multiple creative assignments and meet deadlines.
- Incorporate feedback and revisions from internal teams and clients.
- Maintain organised project files and editable source files.
- Export final videos in the required formats and resolutions.
- Ensure consistency, quality and attention to detail across all deliverables.

Required Skills & Qualifications
- Professional experience in motion graphics, 2D animation or video editing.
- Strong working knowledge of Adobe After Effects.
- Proficiency in Adobe Premiere Pro.
- Working knowledge of Adobe Photoshop and Adobe Illustrator.
- Understanding of keyframe animation, easing, timing, transitions and motion design principles.
- Ability to create animated social media advertisements, reels, promotional videos and branded content.
- Good understanding of typography, composition, colour theory and visual storytelling.
- Experience working with multiple video formats and aspect ratios.
- Ability to synchronise animation with voiceovers, background music and sound effects.
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to deliver professional-quality animations.
- Ability to handle multiple projects and work within deadlines.
- Good communication skills and the ability to understand creative briefs.
### Preferred Skills
- Previous experience working in an advertising, creative or digital marketing agency.
- Experience creating motion graphics for FMCG, retail, lifestyle or consumer brands.
- Knowledge of AI-assisted video production and creative tools.
- Basic understanding of 3D animation, Blender or Cinema 4D.
- Experience with advanced After Effects expressions, plugins and visual effects.
- Ability to develop storyboards and motion design concepts independently.
- Familiarity with commercial video production and post-production workflows.
### Educational Qualifications
Graduate or diploma holder in Graphic Design, Animation, Multimedia, Visual Communication or a related discipline.
Candidates with strong portfolios and relevant practical experience will also be considered.
### Portfolio Requirement
Applicants must provide a portfolio or showreel demonstrating their motion graphics capabilities.
The portfolio should preferably include:
- 2D motion graphics and animation
- Animated social media advertisements
- Typography animation
- Product promotional videos
- Video editing and post-production work
**Important:** This position requires hands-on motion graphics and animation skills. Candidates with experience only in static graphic design may not be suitable unless they can demonstrate strong animation capabilities.
